All My Heros… and a Merry Christmas!

Dec 25 2014 · 0 comments · News

Merry Christmas!
It’s a fantastic time of year; we celebrate Christ coming as a babe to earth, with the sole purpose to live out a life without the hypocrisy that is so common to us all and give His life to redeem the world – So that we may be reconciled to right standing with God.

Immanuel, God with us.

I’m restless

Awoke at 2am with so many things on my mind;
From The Interview streaming online (Sony deciding it would stand up to threats of harm from it’s hackers) and international tensions stressing with N Korea, the 800 million people without clean water worldwide (and how that looks on the ground level; mothers without the option that have to give their babies water they know is killing them, the 40 billion hours that is invested each year walking to gather dirty water in Africa… What could we do if we could reclaim that time?), the media here in the US pushing the killings by cop of unarmed citizens to then do a 180 on their coverage when public outrage turns to executing cops in the streets…

All my heroes kill cops

This photo of a protester struck a strong cord with me, the fact that ANYONE could make this statement is heartbreaking and it got me thinking; Who are my heros?

My heros

All my heros pour out their lives for others; they’re marked by their passion to impact the world for change, known for their selflessness and admired for their vulnerability and love. A lot of cops fit this bill, as do a lot of stay at home moms and… That’s the beauty of it, all that’s required is to love those around you well.

I hope you have a very merry Christmas. I hope it’s filled with those who you love and service. I hope you’re inspired and I hope you seek out to restore dignity, fight against the legacy of unimportance so many we interact with on a daily basis live in and the Ministry of reconciliation

Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19

Merry Christmas

🙂

    ArtForOrphans.org is a rowdy bunch that simply believes Love is the most powerful force known to man. The Love of Christ has the ability to change the very core of things. We're walking this out to the ministry of orphans all over the world.
